RE: Wood Stain Samples
Quoting Sedmunds:
I am needing help figuring out how to remove old stain product and start new with what should have been used. I'm not sure of the product on there now since I did not do the job a couple years ago and can't find the old can but I do believe it was some type of log cabin sealer/stain. This product has discolored from the sun. My ipe is all a siding type installation. Recommendations on removal of old and what I should use would be helpful.
We would need to see some pictures to help determine the proper way to prep. Once fully removed, any of the brands we sell would work well.

Quoting Ahmed Chibib:
Bought a home with a 4 year old IPE deck that has been stained with a dark grey color. I would like to re-stain it with a lighter more natural color. Is that possible? what color wil work best?

You would have to remove the old gray stain. How to remove depends on the type and brand it was. Stripping and or sanding will be needed.

re: Massaranduba?
Try the Armstrong Clark in Amber or the Defy Hardwood in Natural Pine.

RE: Wood Stain Samples
I doubt that would be enough. We unfortunately do not have larger sizes.

RE: Wood Stain Samples
IPE wood doesn't soak in much liquids by nature.
However, do you think 2 samples would cover 8 sq.ft? Or do you have a larger sample size?
Thanks!

RE: Wood Stain Samples
Samples are 1.5-2 oz only. It would not be enough 8 sq. feet.

Project Manager
I want to get 5 of the samples from the list above. My question was:
Can each sample quantity be enough to be applied on a 2'x4' sample IPE tile?
Please let me know so I can place my order.
Thank you.
